With the Control – International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance, which will take place from May 4th to 7th, 2021 at the Stuttgart State Fair, providers and users have a strictly themed and globally recognized specialist event at their disposal. This sheds light on all aspects in theory and in practice presents the current global range of usable technologies, processes, products and system solutions for industrial quality assurance. The almost 900 manufacturers and suppliers of QS equipment represented at Control help the manufacturing companies and their suppliers to become more competitive. With a top-class supporting program and a comprehensive exhibition and information portfolio, Stuttgart will again be a business mecca for the QA industry in spring 2021.

Control, the leading international trade fair for quality assurance, creates added value in information, communication and business by presenting the latest measurement technology technologies, material testing, analysis devices, optoelectronics and QA systems for quality assurance. Industrial weighing and counting technology as well as sensor technology complete the program. Control works very intensively with the pioneering institutions in the industry. Also on board are the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance, Fraunhofer IPA, emva – european machine vision association and the German Society for Quality (DGQ).

As a flawless trade fair for quality assurance, Control is unique worldwide and is the meeting point for international market leaders. 91% of the trade visitors at Control are involved in procurement decisions. For years, exhibitors have been developing innovations and product premieres specifically for Control.

The world’s leading trade fair Control cordially invites you to visit the top-class Control Specials, such as the specialized technology parks and the excellent special shows, and to participate free of charge in the diverse, know-how-intensive specialist lectures of the Control Forum by Schall and the exhibiting companies.

Current Trends: Integrated Solutions, Networked Production, Artificial Intelligence

Professor Wenzel makes reference to this year’s clear-cut current trends: “In addition to the trend towards solutions which can be readily integrated into the customers’ production processes, other issues such as networked production and artificial intelligence are thrusting themselves to the forefront. In particular for mid-sized companies, this is a great challenge. With our WM | SYS Analyzer software solution, WENZEL offers comprehensive options for controlling and analysing measuring tasks and the respectively utilised machines.”

Driving Force in QA, Event Forum, Communication Platform, Röntgen Year

Once again this year, the Fraunhofer IPA will organise an event forum. The special show will deal with all aspects of the issue of “Trends in Quality Assurance – Digitalisation, Automation and AI in Practice”. Trade fair visitors are provided with the opportunity of gathering comprehensive information in a targeted fashion concerning pioneering technologies and the possible uses of modern measuring and test technology. Demonstrations will offer insights into how concepts involving digitalisation and various automation solutions can be applied in practice by means of, amongst other things, image and signal processing, as well as artificial intelligence methods such as machine learning. Attention is focused on practical implementation in the field of quality assurance, which will be demonstrated at the trade fair booth on the basis of examples. Furthermore, trade fair visitors are provided with the opportunity of identifying and evaluating AI applications for their own tasks.

This year, the Fraunhofer IIS is celebrating the discovery of X-ray radiation 125 years ago by Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen. And thus “Röntgen Year” will also be an issue at Control. As always, the Fraunhofer Development Centre for X-Ray Technology in Fürth, Germany, will be represented as an exhibitor at the booth operated by Fraunhofer Vision in hall 6.

Control 2020: Next Level Quality Assurance!

Again this year, the organisers of the Control trade fair are keeping pace where transformation and quality improvement are concerned, and are advancing to the next level with cutting-edge product and service offerings which provide users with new approaches and comprehensive, genuine solutions to all problems related to industrial QA: “Next level quality assurance!”

The trade fair organizer Schall invites you to the next world leading trade fair for quality assurance (QS) in Stuttgart: The 34th Control – International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance – takes place from May 5th to 8th, 2020 and focuses on vision technology and image processing as a thematic extension of QR systems and – Software in hall 8.

Control, the most important international business platform and the world’s leading trade fair for industrial QA, brings the international market leaders to Stuttgart. It has long been a driving force for the German, European and international market. In 2020, the European image processing association EMVA, together with the trade magazine inVISION and the trade fair organizer Schall, will hold the Control Vision Talks – forum for optical measurement technology and image processing – for the fifth time.

Industrial image processing strongly represented

The subject areas of 3D image processing, optical measurement technology, computed tomography (CT) and X-ray as well as spectral imaging will receive a prominent place at the EMVA lecture forum in hall 8 and deal with both the basics and new technologies. Also in Hall 8, quick response systems (QR) will be presented, which are used particularly widely in Asia and are still being developed further.

“Next level quality assurance!”

The quality assurance topic pervades all production areas in all industries. The control organizer keeps pace with change and quality improvement and goes to the next level with a cutting-edge product and service offering that offers users new approaches and comprehensive real solutions for all problems relevant in industrial QA: “Next level quality assurance ! “Users from all industries will find the right equipment for zero-defect production at Control – from mechatronic measurement technology to IBV solutions to robot-supported and fully digitized QA solutions for the flexible production of variants. The trade fair brings digitization into everyday practice and enables test technology users to exchange data in networked processes.

Control 2020: high internationality

The Control event concept supports the direct professional exchange between providers and users and ensures the technology transfer deep into practical everyday production. Participants’ votes at the trade fair in May 2019 underlined the importance of Control as a globally recognized and leading technology, communication and business platform for quality management in industrial production. The international market leaders meet here to discuss zero-defect production and develop new solutions with expert and interested visitors from industrial practice. 90 percent of the trade visitors are directly involved in procurement decisions. For numerous exhibiting companies, Control is the most important trade fair in the year – an industry event

Technology transfer through a top-class supporting program

The trade fair organizer peppered the trade fair with top-class supporting events. The special show at Fraunhofer IPA is about “Trends in quality assurance – digitization, automation and AI in practice”. Trade fair visitors are given the opportunity to get specific information about future-oriented technologies and possible uses of modern measurement and testing technology. Demonstrators give an impression of how topics of digitization and automation can be used in practice with image and signal processing and methods of artificial intelligence, such as machine learning processes. Trade fair visitors can also identify and evaluate AI applications in their own problem.
