IPM Essen

The Essen exhibition is the forthcoming generation’s convention and exhibition center. The modernization of this place which has now been completed, had a primary focus on investments in the future viability of MESSE ESSEN as well as the development of the location advantages.

It is now generally agreed upon that the Essen exhibition center is among the most technically advanced and advanced exhibition centers in all of Germany. Its architecture is uncomplicated and well-suited to its purposes. In the redesigned version of the architectural structure, the two characteristics that stand out the most prominently are their openness and their use of light.

As a result of the redesign, the entrance area now exudes an atmosphere that is more urban and is brighter. This serves another purpose as well, which is to connect the city of Essen with the exhibition center. The exhibition grounds, the conference rooms of the CCE, and the Grugahalle now demonstrate to both the exhibitors and the visitors that they are able to meet the growing challenges of the market with a consistently high level of technical expertise and an architecturally clear design.

It is remarkable that on May 2, 2016, work began to transform the new MESSE ESSEN into one of the most technologically advanced exhibition centers in all of Germany. This is just one of the four development phases for the new MESSE ESSEN. The modernization of MESSE ESSEN was finally finished on September 24th, 2019, following a construction period that lasted approximately three and a half years. At the fair, we have introduced a fresh feeling of well-being by designing the architecture to be open and functional. The ideal conditions for an exhibition are provided by the short distances, eight spacious halls on a single level, and abundant natural light.
