the International Green Week Berlin as one of the most prestigious events in Germany is also one of the country’s oldest and most renowned trade fairs. Inaugurated in Berlin in the Roaring Twenties in 1926, it has since become the premier global marketplace for the agriculture, horticulture, and food industries. Over the course of the ten days, exhibitors from all over the world will display a wide variety of products. The IGW also serves as a forum for pressing societal concerns like waste management, sustainable development, and environmental sustainability. This year, from the 20th to the 29th of January, 2023, Green Week was celebrating its 87th year.
The Global Forum on Food and Agriculture (GFFA) has its origins at the IGW. When it comes to discussing the most pressing challenges facing the agriculture and food industries in the future, no other conference compares to the GFFA. The gathering of more than 70 agriculture ministers consider as the International Green Week Berlin ‘s highlight.
Trade visitors and industry representatives will meet national and international stakeholders and business contacts at industry meetings such as the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA), the Biofuels Congress, and the Future Forum for Rural Development during the International Green Week.
The exhibitors offer a variety of workshops and events for their visitors, such as weaving flower wreaths, making decorative flower balls, creating unique biotopes for balconies at home, and much more!
On state days, federal states present state-specific program items at this event. Also, 200 product queens and product kings in beautiful robes parade and finally some are chosen. In addition, famous TV chefs cook on stages and invite you to try them! While class groups participate in fun agricultural activities like baking bread, building insect houses, and wood carving competitions each year.
