More exhibitors, more space, more special shows – the ALTENPFLEGE 2019 ended successfully on Thursday, April 4, at the exhibition center in Nuremberg . The leading trade fair was the meeting point of the international care industry for three days and attracted a total of 28,000 visitors to the event. Around 700 exhibitors showed innovations, products and services from the areas of care & therapy, job & education, IT & management, catering & housekeeping as well as space & technology. After the trade fair organized by the specialist publisher Vincentz Network took place in Hanover last year, it returned to southern Germany on a regular basis in 2019.

In keeping with the motto of this year’s fair, “ Elderly care in motion“Was the redesigned area” Focus fleet “. The special presentation was the point of contact for the topics of fleet software, route planning, vehicles, service and financing concepts as well as mobility concepts and infrastructure. The centerpiece of “Fokus Fuhrpark” was the large test track, on which electric vehicles of all kinds could be tried out.

The absolute trend topic this year was digitization in elderly care, which ran through all areas of care – from care documentation to supporting technology such as digital assistance systems. Among other things, humanoid nursing robots were shown, which will play an increasingly important role in elderly care in the future.

Mainly digital developments were also the focus of ” AVENEO – space for innovations “. Here 60 young companies, founders and students presented their developments in the fields of technology, the Internet of Things, architecture as well as care and social economy to visitors. AVENEO was also the venue for the start-up challenge , in which the best ideas were evaluated by a top-class jury of experts.

The accompanying congress ALTENPFLEGE Zukunftstag was one of the main pillars of the fair. Under the motto “Strong together!” The event excited with a multifaceted program that brought together the leading minds in geriatric care. Over 80 speakers provided information on current topics and developments in nursing in around 75 lectures and workshops. The fair and congress were opened by Bavaria’s Minister of State for Health and Care Melanie Huml (CSU) and the care representative of the Federal Government Andreas Westerfellhaus .

The “ Focus Universal Rooms“, Which dealt with the trend topic of service living. The visitors had the opportunity to find out about non-stigmatizing technical possibilities for a self-determined life in old age in a fully furnished, barrier-free apartment.

Also new at ALTENPFLEGE: the special presentation #MeetUp: Dein Leben. Your job. It was aimed at young nurses, trainees, schoolchildren and students. The aim was to show young people career opportunities and to inform them about the diverse training and further training opportunities in nursing. Accompanied by a colorful entertainment program, including the care rappers DENA and IDREF, #MeetUp belonged to: Your life. Your job. to this year’s highlights for young nurses.

Carolin Pauly, fair organizer at Vincentz Network: “ALTENPFLEGE is so much more than just a product show. It is a steadily growing, dynamic collaboration platform and guarantees both exhibitors and visitors a high added value. It has developed into the leading meeting place for the nursing industry. ”

There was great satisfaction among the exhibitors at ALTENPFLEGE. Marc Specht, Marketing Manager BoS & S : “ALTENPFLEGE is an absolute must for us. Here we have the opportunity to get in touch with customers and prospects to present our innovations and products to a large audience. ”

Michael Czaplik, Managing Director at Docs in Clouds: “We are simply overwhelmed. The visitors showed great interest. We got great feedback from everyone. Everyone was at our stand – from the nursing director to the nursing student. Our expectations were clearly exceeded. ”

Alina Gasser, F&P Robotics :“ It was perfect. ALTENPFLEGE was THE place to present our care robot ‘Lio’. We should have had a lot more robots at the booth, the interest of the visitors was so great. ”

The satisfaction of the exhibitors was also reflected in the visitors of the leading fair.

According to a survey by the Dortmund-based opinion research institute Gelszus, 86.9 percent of them said they would continue to visit ALTENPFLEGE in the future, 90.8 percent said they were very satisfied with their visit.

The exhibition center in Hanover will be the meeting point of the care industry from March 24th to 26th, 2020. Around 600 exhibitors present the latest developments, trends, services and products for the inpatient and outpatient care industry. After the ALTENPFLEGE 2019 took place in Nuremberg, it will return to Lower Saxony in 2020. The ALTENPFLEGE is the leading event for the industry and includes the areas of nursing and therapy, Office & Education, IT & Management, Nutrition & laundry, textile & hygiene, space & technology.

The second round will be the special presentation FOKUS fleet , which deals with mobility and fleet management. The need for innovative mobility solutions and efficient fleet management in outpatient and inpatient care facilities has increased enormously in recent years. With the FOKUS fleet , there will be a contact point at ALTENPFLEGE on the topics of vehicles, fleet software & tour planning, service and financing concepts as well as mobility concepts and infrastructure. In addition, visitors will find a variety of the latest electric vehicles that can be tried out on a test track at the exhibition center.

The absolute trend topic is still digitization in geriatric care. It runs through all areas of nursing – from nursing documentation to personnel planning to nursing support technology. At ALTENPFLEGE  , digitization will be shown in its entirety, both by numerous exhibitors with corresponding products and by young startups with fresh ideas.

Especially in the special show ALTENPFLEGE AVENEO – space for innovations : here – nomen est omen – the focus is on the innovators who give visitors an insight into the care of tomorrow. At ALTENPFLEGE AVENEO , innovative ideas are promoted, networks are created and pioneering research is made possible. ALTENPFLEGE AVENEO is also the setting for the “ Start-Up Challenge ”, which is taking place for the fourth time this year. At the “ Start-Up Challenge “Young companies, founders and students present their ideas from the fields of technology, the Internet of Things, architecture as well as care and social economy. A top-class jury selects the most innovative products, which are then brought onto the market, equipped with a marketing package as a price.

It is evident in all areas of nursing that digitization is picking up speed and has an ever increasing impact on daily work. At ALTENPFLEGE  there will therefore be a special focus on the question “ How will we work in the future? ” placed. The new “ Nursing Experiment Room ”, for example, gives a glimpse into the future of work in nursing , in which various innovations can be tried out and which will make visitors interested in the opportunities of digitization. In addition to experiencing products, the focus here is the exchange between colleagues. In addition, various facets of this topic will be featured in the new digital tours and in the free lectures in the various ALTENPFLEGE forums shown.

The special focus “ Focus Universal Rooms ” is about living and living in old age under optimal conditions. In two fully furnished and barrier-free apartments, visitors can experience how life, everyday life and housework can be made easier on more than 280 square meters – noble, stylish and so imaginative that even young people feel addressed. “ Fokus Universal Rooms ” clearly shows what technical options are available to make living in an age-appropriate manner.

Personnel recruitment remains the top topic in the industry. Gaining and above all keeping nurses – that is one of the main tasks of inpatient and outpatient facilities. Because even if digitization will change a lot, care remains the main task of people. However, fewer and fewer young people are opting for a long-term care career.

That is why there is a special presentation #MeetUp: Your Life at ALTENPFLEGE 2020 for the second time . Your job. Young nurses, trainees, schoolchildren and students, whose needs are the focus, are addressed here.

In the ALTENPFLEGE FOREN current trends are discussed on open stages in the halls, the latest products, ideas and services are presented, both in interactive short lectures and in meet-the-expert talks, in interdisciplinary shows and themed guided tours of the trade fair. The forums in the halls are divided into the areas of care & therapy, IT & management, catering & housekeeping, space & technology. The forums are accompanied and supported by partners from science, research and politics.

For the 6th time, the ALTENPFLEGE Future Day is one of the main pillars of ALTENPFLEGE . The three-day congress accompanying the trade fair captivates with a multifaceted program that brings together the leading minds in the elderly care industry. With more than 80 speakers who report on the most important topics and developments in nursing. The ALTENPFLEGE Zukunftstag , the largest and most important discussion and design forum for professional geriatric care , brings the leading minds in the geriatric care industry totogether to shape the future of inpatient and outpatient care. Practitioners, specialists and executives are there as well as experts from the areas of social affairs, medicine, law and business. “ Competence, attitude and willingness to change – this triad has helped the elderly to every challenge to this day . This is good, because the industry is facing the sign of a profound change. The Future Day reflects the concentrated expertise of the stakeholders and provides valuable impulses for the future of care, ”emphasizes Carolin Pauly, exhibition manager at the organizer of the ALTENPFLEGE  Vincentz Network, Hanover.

The 9th day of the housing industry also takes place as part of the congress . On the day of the housing industry, trend topics such as service living and accommodation are examined in more detail, economic perspectives are determined and political framework conditions are discussed. In addition, the day of the housing industry offers a platform for those responsible for the housing industry and care facilities, for architects, planners, banks, municipalities and project developers to get to know each other.
