Two of Germany’s leading refrigeration and air conditioning organisations have written to NürnbergMesse, the organisers of Chillventa 2020, pleading for the event to take place this year as scheduled. The NürnbergMesse has been in discussion with exhibitors and partners and has opened an online survey to gauge opinions on the exhibition’s viability in the wake of coronavirus. While the German exhibition industry is pushing for events to restart in September this has not yet been ratified by the government. Some say the event has been thrown into further doubt with the recent cancellation of the annual Oktoberfest, scheduled to take place in Munich, just three weeks before Chillventa.
Chillventa, the leading international exhibition for refrigeration technology, will show the flag with the “Chillventa Pavilion” at Climate World in Moscow between 10 and 13 March 2020. In doing so it will meet the wishes of many exhibiting companies to become active in Russia once again. NürnbergMesse offers an attractive full package with minimum outlay for companies of all sizes that wish to exhibit. Even smaller firms can draw plenty of attention in this way.
Survey results show that most of the exhibitors at Chillventa 2018 viewed Russia as an important market. The Chillventa Pavilion will thus offer the best opportunity to gain easier access to the Russian market. This will be of particular benefit to companies that want to establish new business contacts in Russia or expand their existing network as easily as possible. With its top-quality stand design, the Chillventa Pavilion will be an eye-catcher at Climate World. “The impact of a Chillventa pavilion is a huge drawcard for exhibitors,” says Alexander Stein, department head of Chillventa, NürnbergMesse. “Our full-service package greatly reduces the costs of organization and preparation for all participants.”
Climate World, to be held from 10 to 13 March 2020, will provide the perfect setting. The last time it was held, around 23,000 visitors had the opportunity to examine innovations from some 250 exhibitors. “In the future, the Russian market will become increasingly important for the refrigeration, AC, ventilation and heat pump industry,” Stein adds. “That means the time is right for NürnbergMesse to resume its commitment to Russia. The Chillventa Pavilion will present the ideal conditions for us and our exhibitors to do just that.”
Exhibitors had nothing but the highest praise for the last event in the Chillventa series, and most have already confirmed their intention to participate in the next exhibition. Experts from the world of refrigeration, AC and ventilation will join architects and designers of building services at the top-level industry event, scheduled for 13 to 15 October 2020, which will give professionals from around the world the opportunity to discuss the latest trends and developments relating to all aspects of energy efficiency, sustainability and automation.
In 2020, NürnbergMesse will present the Chillventa AWARD for the third time in partnership with Bauverlag, the publisher of the HVAC&R trade journals “KKA Kälte Klima Aktuell” and “tab – Das Fachmedium der TGA-Branche”. The award recognises completed projects that in an era of climate change can be considered outstanding examples of energy efficient and environmentally friendly refrigeration, AC or heat pump technology.
In keeping with the motto “Chillventa Connecting Experts”, the jury’s evaluation has previously focused on the effective teamwork between the project stakeholders and their collaborative design and planning process. Although this aspect will still be included in the jury’s evaluation in 2020, the main criterion will now be the energy efficiency of the technology, which also needs to impress in respect of its functionality and technical innovations. The expert panel will also assess the exemplary use of modern digital tools and methods for the design and operation of the system.
Teams of experts – system engineers, planners, designers and operators – are eligible to participate in the four categories commercial refrigeration, industrial refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps. The Chillventa AWARD will be presented during Chillventa in Nuremberg from 13-15 October 2020.
Although exhibitors at Chillventa are not eligible to take part directly, they are cordially invited to encourage the system engineers, planners, designers and operators who have realised their best reference projects to enter the competition and are welcome to actively help them put together the application documents.
The Chillventa AWARD offers an excellent opportunity to present products exhibited at the event to a wider professional audience.
More than 35,000 trade visitors from over 120 countries and 1,019 exhibiting companies: Chillventa was the gathering of the refrigeration, ac & ventilation and heat pump segments. Chillventa 2018 once again sets new records in highs for display area and visitor numbers, together with a brilliant Chillventa AWARD ceremony and a high-calibre Chillventa CONGRESS and forums. 58 per cent of the visitors and 68 per cent of the exhibitors came from abroad. The trade visitors gave top marks to the supporting programme. Together with the German representatives they put the basic theme “Chillventa Connecting Experts” into practice. Experience the highlights at Chillventa 2018.
As a leading international fair, Chillventa is performing exceptionally well and is set to enjoy renewed growth in 2020. Already, six months before the event, nearly all stands have been booked. In 2020, the Chillventa CONGRESS will once again deliver knowledge-sharing at the highest professional level on the day before the fair. As always, the congress will be a source of comprehensive high-quality information, covering all segments of the refrigeration, AC, ventilation and heat pump sector.
