With the combination of Northern Bavaria’s largest leisure fair and Bavaria’s large indoor garden fair, the Nuremberg public trade fair Leisure, Tourism & Garden achieves a harmonious interplay of the various topics. Every spring an extensive range for garden, leisure, tourism, caravaning & camping as well as sport & outdoor is presented. The Leisure Fair 2020 has got off to a strong start: On the first days of the fair, more visitors than in previous years came to find out about tourist destinations in the near and far, to discover the latest garden trends, to find new motorhomes or to try out different sporting trends. This confirmed the basic concept of the leisure fair.
At the weekend, the number of visitors showed that the uncertainty caused by the spread of the coronovirus meant that the trade fair was less busy than on a “normal” leisure weekend. This did not detract from the mood at the leisure trade fair: the visitors were delighted with the wide range of offers, the numerous hands-on activities and the sometimes complex trade fair presentations of the 900 exhibitors.
The new sporting themed worlds of the leisure fair, from the action pool to the sports hall with over 50 clubs, the big boulder wall with the climbing cup of the DAV and last but not least the new triathlon fair “motrivation days” brought new and younger visitor groups to the leisure fair. But the classic “leisure” topics, tourism, caravanning and the redesigned garden area were also well received. The garden worlds presented creative decoration ideas and the colorful gardens of the GaLaBauer helped to find design ideas for the green at home.
Leisure trade fair project manager Maik Heiß: “We pay tribute to the exhibitors at the leisure trade fair that, despite the challenging initial situation, they dealt with the situation so professionally. Due to the uncertainties regarding the spread of the corona virus, around a quarter fewer visitors came to the leisure fair as usual. However, we received a lot of positive feedback on site. We would like to further develop the concept of the leisure trade fair on the current basis and are pleased that we can present the diverse offers to an even larger audience next year, under certain conditions then again better. “
The next leisure fair will take place from March 3rd to 7th, 2021 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center and will again be organized by inviva, “the active trade fair that moves life”, the triathlon trade fair “motrivation days” (March 5th to 7th) and accompanied the whisky fair THE VILLAGE (March 6th and 7th).
