CAI International, one of the world’s leading transportation finance and logistics companies, has been named a finalist in Lloyd’s Loading List 2019 Global Freight Awards. The Global Freight Awards recognize and celebrate excellence in shipping.

CAI International is nominated in the Product Innovation category, which showcases smart new products, services, or processes that enhance performance and decrease costs. CAI is specifically recognized for their Flat Bar Base Enhancement, which reduces repair costs and increases operating time of dry freight containers.

Other finalists include Maersk, WNS Global Services, Kerry Logistics, and National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri).

CAI Logistics, a business division of CAI International, was also nominated in the Project Forwarding category for their work in flatbed logistics.

Finalists were determined by a panel of independent, senior industry experts from all core sectors of the maritime industry. Winners are announced at a ceremony in London on November 14, 2019. Additional details about The Global Freight Awards and the list of 2019 finalists are available here.

Intermodal Europe and Asia, the global events for container shipping and intermodal professionals, are delighted to announce the appointment of Rob Fisher as the new Event Director.

Rob will seamlessly take over the reins to run Intermodal Europe, taking place on 5-7 November 2019 at Hamburg Messe, and Intermodal Asia, based in Shanghai on 17-19 March 2020. The  exhibitions are organised by Informa Markets, the world’s leading events organiser. 

With the intralogistics event IMHX (International Materials Handling Exhibition) and the UK’s leading logistics publication, SHD Logistics, already within his portfolio, Rob brings over 14 years of industry expertise, authority, and a holistic view of the entire supply chain to Intermodal.
